Standing Tall

Delhi has a perfect blend of the old British structures on one hand, and a contemporary megapolis with high rise shopping centers, malls, several multiplexes and corporate offices on the other hand. Places like Dwarka are an evident example of this. When we travel to Dwarka , Rajender Place, Saket and Qutub etc by metro we get to see the rapid developments that are taking place. Tall buildings are coming up in huge numbers. With the commonwealth games in the backdrop, development projects are all over in full swing. The 1982 Asiad games changed Delhi into a city of flyovers with Delhi’s 1st flyover (Safdarjung – Defence colony) and a lot of developments are expected this time around too.
